Stay classy, Iowa.Quote: Can a deceased informercial king help draw viewers to a TV station's mobile text alerts?
That's the question Waterloo, Iowa TV station KWWL-TV faces following its decision to feature a look alike for Billy Mays in a commercial touting its news alert cellphone text service. |

I know thin isn't into dreaming posts, but anyway: I was dreaming that I was working again like last September as an AV clerk answering people's stupid questions one by one. As the dream went on, the line grew bigger and I had difficulties to catch up. There was a co-worker there that wasn't doing poop. After a while I thought to myself in my dream "How the hell I'm gonna finish this if I need to go to my other job (my old job I got back at the other university)?" I suddenly remembered that I don't have two jobs and I realized quickly that I was dreaming. That gave me a nasty idea... I obviously woke up after. Pablo wrote: Lupy: first person ever to get fired from a dream. Yeah, I changed that part a bit (just in case)... Just to make it clear, the dream was about my job in September, not the one I have right now (and that I had before starting my degree). I like the one I have right now (seriously). thin shadow wrote: Lupercus wrote: I know thin isn't into dreaming posts Wha... Wasn't it you that didn't like Zammy posting about his dreams? Or is it another mod? |

I think it was more the "Zammy" part than the "Dream" part that caused the dislike... |

Our company Christmas dinner was canceled this year, and instead we were sent $25 checks. I thought it was a classy move, but some people in the newsroom felt that we still needed to have a "Holiday Get-Together to Celebrate the Season."
FACT: The activities coordinator works during the day.
FACT: A potluck was decided for noon Wednesday.
FACT: Half of the newsroom staff works the evening shift and would be coming to work on their own, unpaid time to partake in the "festivities."
FACT: A signup sheet was passed around during the day side for several days before being presented to the evening workers.
FACT: The day-side people all signed up to bring napkins, plates, cups, soda, chips and a couple of desserts.
OPINION: The cheap-ass day-side people were expecting the evening people to shell out to fill their trough, yet weren't even considering for a minute that 3 p.m. might be a better time for everybody to get together. "None of us wants to eat lunch at 3," one said.
SOLUTION: A new sign-up sheet was posted and filled by the night-side people for a second gathering at 9 p.m. (all are welcome, of course.) A sports guy is putting his grill in the back of his truck, and we will be grilling steaks and shrimp kebabs. A variety of sides and desserts will be available. I just hope there will be enough cups and napkins. |

Let us pray the pimp's prayer ... "Lord, please pray for this soul of this bitch, and guide my pimp hand and make it strong, Lord, so that she might learn a ho's place. Amen!" |

You should steal the cups and napkins from the dayside a-holes. |

I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet. So I said, ‘Got any shoes you're not using?’ |
