Just finished the first season of the newer series. What a great show. Please tell me there are fellow nerds here?

Nerds? In this place?

I watched the season finale yesterday and I have a few questions.

I enjoyed the episode, looking forward to Doctor #11.

I haven't gotten this far yet. I'm in the middle of season 2. I must say I enjoyed the first doctor (Chris Eccleston) more than David Tenant, but it looks like I have to put up with Tennant for several more seasons. I was hoping for a change each season... but that's okay.

The show reminds me quite a bit of old school Star Trek with it's moral messages sewn throughout the sci-fi plots. I really like the duality of the Doctor. Peaceful yet wrathful at the same time. He's a neat character. I want to go back and watch the old series that I grew up with just to see what that was like.

Fun to watch... keeps my imagination going. Makes me feel a bit like a kid again to watch the show.
